WEST PALM BEACH – A 4-year-old boy underwent surgery Monday and remained in critical condition after being injured in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night in West Palm Beach, city police said.
Police are searching for a white four-door sedan that witnesses said was speeding as it struck the child in the 500 block of Okeechobee Boulevard at about 8 p.m. as the child and three other boys were walking with a parent.
West Palm Beach Fire Rescue responders took the 4-year-old to St. Mary’s Medical Center. There were no other injuries, Mike Jachles, spokesman for West Palm Beach police said.
