Pedestrian killed in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Police say two cars struck and killed a man who ran across Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach in Friday night.

Investigators said the 59-year-old unidentified man didn’t use the crosswalk when he bolted across North Congress Avenue, between Old Boynton Road and W. Boynton Beach Boulevard.

Police said a driver at the wheel of a 2016 Lexus hit the man. When he landed in the road, the driver of a 2013 Kia Sorento ran over him.

Traffic homicide investigators say criminal charges against the drivers are unlikely.
