Pedestrian struck, killed by 3 vehicles on Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka

Fatal crash closed OBT from Overland Road to Piedmont Wekiva Road

ORLANDO, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed Monday morning in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal crash was reported at 2:55 a.m. on Orange Blossom Trail at Oranole Way in Apopka.

The FHP said a man was crossing OBT but was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by an SUV driven by a 28-year-old Orlando man. Two other cars also hit or ran over the man, according to troopers.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.

OBT was closed from Overland Road to Piedmont Wekiva Road, but the road was later reopened.

The drivers were not injured, the FHP said.
