Motorcyclist seriously injured in Cape Coral crash

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A Cape Coral motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after a crash on Diplomat Parkway East near Ne 5th Place in Cape Coral Wednesday night.

Around 8:42 p.m., a 29-year-old North Fort Myers woman tried to make a left turn from NE 5th Place onto Diplomat Pkwy when she pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Police said the 33-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Frank E Sangster, was thrown from his bike after skidding around 50 feet and crashing into the woman’s car.

A 19-year-old Cape Coral woman driving a third car hit the motorcycle in the road, investigators said.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was admitted into emergency surgery.

No other serious injuries were reported in the crash, according to CCPD.
