Manatee County crash kills 33-year-old motorcyclist
A 33-year-old motorcyclist from Palmetto was killed Sunday afternoon following a crash in Manatee County.
A 71-year-old from Michigan driving an SUV was traveling in the eastbound direction on Florida Boulevard near the intersection of Washington Street and proceeded to make a left turn into the path of a Kawasaki motorcycle, which was traveling west on Florida Boulevard at a high rate of speed, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The front of the motorcycle collided with the right side of the SUV and the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene by Manatee County EMS.
