Motorcyclist dead after medical related crash on Gandy Boulevard
The St. Petersburg Police Department is currently investigating a motorcycle crash involving a fatality.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m., on Sunday, November 21, 2021.
Investigators say a motorcycle driven by a 73 year old Gervais Morneau was headed east on Gandy Blvd North near the I-275 exit ramp.
Police say that he had a medical episode, lost control and crashed into a Honda Civic. He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he died.
The roadway was closed to traffic for several hours during the on-scene investigation. No other injuries were reported.
The victim Gervais Morneau is from Villeroy, Quebec, Canada.
