Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in New Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed in New Tampa on Thursday morning.

The crash happened in the 9400 block of Highland Oak Drive early Thursday. Police said the driver remained at the scene and was cooperating.

Westbound Highland Oak Drive is open, but the eastbound lane remains closed.
