Poinciana Teen Dies After Head-On Crash Involving 4 Vehicles In Polk County
POLK COUNTY, FL. – A 17-year-old Poinciana boy was killed in a crash that happened just after 4:00 pm on Thursday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the teen was traveling westbound on Hinson Avenue East, west of Power Line Road in Haines City.
Troopers say the teen crossed the centerline of the roadway, collided nearly head-on with a car that was traveling eastbound on Hinson Ave.
Investigators say the teen’s car crashed into a pickup truck, overturned, and collided with a second pickup truck.
Troopers say the driver died at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
A 53-year-old Kissimmee man suffered minor injuries in the crash and no others were injured in the collision.
