Two killed in North Fort Myers crash
Two people were killed in a crash in North Fort Myers on Friday.
The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. on US-41 at Sabal Springs Boulevard.
A 68-year-old woman and a 79-year-old man, both of North Fort Myers, died. Both were passengers in a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old North Fort Myers man. A fourth person in the vehicle, an 89-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling south on US-41, turned left onto Sabal Springs Boulevard but failed to yield the right away to an SUV causing a collision.
The driver in the SUV, a 74-year-old North Fort Myers woman, suffered minor injuries.
The crash still remains under investigation.
