One person dead after being hit by a truck

A death investigation is underway at the Driftwood Garden Center at 5051 9th Street.

Police say a large truck struck a person while backing up in the back parking lot area on Wednesday afternoon.

The person died from their injuries.

NPD is not releasing the person’s name at this time.
