Fort Myers woman killed in crash on McGregor Boulevard

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Fort Myers woman was killed after she was hit by a car on McGregor Boulevard on Monday night.

The deadly crash happened at McGregor and Majestic Palms Boulevard around 7:38 p.m.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a 32-year-old Fort Myers man was driving north on McGregor, merging into the inside lane when the 80-year-old woman was crossing the street.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

McGregor Boulevard was shut down in both directions following the crash.

Troopers said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
