Fort Myers man killed in canal crash in Immokalee
Florida Highway Patrol confirmed to WINK News that one person has died after a crash into a canal.
This happened early Sunday morning near the intersection of SR-29 and Farm Worker Way in Immokalee.
According to FHP, a 58-year-old Fort Myers man was traveling south on SR-29 in his pickup truck, approaching the intersection of Farm Worker Way.
The truck veered onto the grass shoulder, hit a guard rail, flipped over and ended up in the canal. This was a single-vehicle crash.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation FHP says.
