Estero man dies in US 41 crash near Corkscrew Road
ESTERO, Fla. – An Estero man has died after a crash on US 41 just north of Corkscrew Road in Estero Tuesday night.
Around 9:40 p.m., the 46-year-old lost control of the pickup truck he was driving when he ran off the road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver crashed into a light pole and a tree before the incident was over, troopers said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. An incident report shows the 46-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt in the crash.
Northbound lanes of US 41 at Corkscrew Road were shut down overnight while troopers investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.
No further information was immediately available.
