Driver runs off after crashing truck into tree in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck found crashed into a tree in Fort Myers early Friday morning.
Around 3 a.m. the unidentified driver ran away after crashing into a ditch and hitting a palm tree on Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard near Lora Street, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.
As of 8:30 a.m. police confirmed they had not yet found the driver and traffic investigators are looking into the incident.
Witnesses said the truck was heavily damaged in the crash.
