Bicyclist seriously injured in St. Petersburg hit-and-run
A St. Petersburg bicyclist was seriously injured Sunday morning when he was hit by a vehicle on 38th Avenue N., according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Carl Budinsky, 45, was traveling eastbound on 38th Avenue N, near 78th Street, on an electronic bicycle when he was hit from behind about 4:40 a.m.
The driver fled the scene, according to the report.
Budinsky was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and is in “grave condition,” according to the news release.
