Motorcyclist dies after running into back of car at stop light on US 192
A 41-year-old Kissimmee man died Monday when he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a vehicle that stopped for a red light in Osceola County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 7:55 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 192 and Vineland Road, said FHP Lt. Kim Montes.
A 59-year-old St. Cloud man was driving a sedan westbound on US 192 approaching Vineland when the light turned yellow. The motorcyclist failed to stop and struck the rear of the sedan for unknown reasons, Montes said.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the sedan had no injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
