2 teens die in Osceola crash, FHP says

Two 17-year-old males died Wednesday in an Osceola County crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

A 17-year-old Clermont boy was driving a car north on Pleasant Hill Road when he veered onto the shoulder, overcorrected then traveled into oncoming traffic, according to FHP spokesperson Lt. Kim Montes.

A vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old Kissimmee woman, hit the driver’s side of the teen’s vehicle before it went off road and smashed into a utility pole, Montes said.

The teen driver and his 17-year-old passenger from Kissimmee died at the scene, Montes said. The woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
