FHP seeks 2 hit-and-run cars that struck pedestrian in Orange County

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking any information on two vehicles involved in a Sunday hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead.

The 26-year-old Orlando man was crossing State Road 436 from west to east, but not in a crosswalk or intersection, north of Aloma Avenue in Orange County when a 2018 Nissan Maxima driven by a 33-year-old man from North Lauderdale traveling southbound on 436 struck the man at 3:17 a.m., according to an FHP press release.

While the driver of the Maxima remained on scene, two more vehicles struck the victim as he lay in the roadway, FHP said. Neither of those vehicles stopped.

Anyone with information is asked to contact FHP at 407-737-2213.

The crash remains under investigation.
