Two people injured in multi-vehicle crash at SW 26th Avenue, W Silver Springs Boulevard intersection
Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of SW 26th Avenue and W Silver Springs Boulevard on Thursday.
At around 3:40 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene of the crash and found a three-vehicle crash with minor to major damage.
The drivers were outside of their respective vehicles when the crews arrived.
The OFR report indicated that the first vehicle, a pickup truck, sustained major front-end damage. The airbag was deployed and deformities were observed on the windshield.
A second pickup truck sustained moderate front and rear damage, and the third vehicle involved was a sedan with moderate damage to the rear. The airbags were not deployed in either vehicle and no windshield damage was reported.
The drivers of both pickup trucks were transported to a local hospital, and the driver of the sedan refused any medical treatment.
OFR crews swept the roads to remove debris, cleaned up fluid leaks, and moved the vehicles off the roadway.
The Ocala Police Department also responded on scene and provided traffic control.
The names of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.
