Three people hospitalized after crash at SR 200, SW 20th Street intersection

Three people were transported to the hospital following an accident at the intersection of State Road 200 and SW 20th Street on Wednesday.

At around 11:30 a .m., Ocala Fire Rescue units (Engine 6, Rescue 4, and Battalion Chief 11) responded to a two-vehicle accident that had occurred at the intersection.

Upon arrival, the units found a silver SUV with moderate front-end damage and a red SUV with heavy damage on the passenger’s side. The occupants were still inside of their respective vehicles.

After an evaluation, two of the silver SUV’s occupants, along with the sole occupant of the red SUV, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

No other injuries were reported, and the names of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
