Inverness Man Killed Early Saturday While Riding Bicycle On CR-470
CITRUS COUNTY, FL. – A 29-year-old Inverness man was killed Saturday while riding a bicycle on CR-470, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the man was traveling southbound on CR-470, south of South Bel Air Drive, without lights on the dark highway.
Investigators say a pickup truck, driven by a 69-year-old Inverness man, was traveling southbound on CR-470 when the Ford F150 overtook and collided with the bicyclist.
According to the report, the man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
The crash happened at 6:45 am Saturday.
