The intersection of Emerald Road and Oak Road in Ocala has been temporarily closed due to an accident.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Facebook posting that a vehicle collided with a sewage tanker at the intersection earlier this morning.
Emergency crews are currently in the process of cleaning up a large sewage spill.
According to MCSO, parents are still able to drop off their children at Emerald Shores Elementary School (404 Emerald Road).
