Woman hit while crossing 103rd Street

A 48-year-old Jacksonville woman has critical injuries from being hit by a SUV Sunday night on 103rd Street east of Old Middleburg Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. Troopers said the woman stepped out into the path of the SUV and the driver, a 32-yea-old Jacksonville man, was unable to avoid her.

The woman was taken to Orange Park Medical Center and the FHP report said charges are pending.
