Truck hauling coconuts crashes on I-95 and Baymeadows
Jacksonville, Fl — A truck hauling coconuts was rear-ended and overturned on I-95 near Baymeadows early this morning. Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a Rav-4 fell asleep and rear-ended the box truck at 4:00 am.
The driver responsible was cited for careless driving.
The box truck overturned, trapping the driver’s legs underneath. She sustained serious injuries. Coconuts spilled all over the right shoulder of I-95.
Two passengers the truck sustained minor injuries.
