Woman & child hit by car while on mobility scooter in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A woman and child are expected to be okay after they were hit by an SUV while on a mobility scooter at the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Hazelwood Avenue in Lehigh Acres.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. Friday when an SUV collided with the pedestrians, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A man told, the woman hit was his mother and the passenger his niece. He said the woman was taken to a nearby hospital.
First responders said the child was uninjured in the crash and the woman suffered just minor injuries, according to the Lehigh Acres Fire Department.
FHP is continuing to investigate.
