1 dead in multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — All southbound lanes on I-95 were blocked for hours due to a 6-vehicle crash in Boca Raton, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Officials say one man is confirmed dead as a result.

The incident happened around 5:44 p.m. on Wednesday.

Traffic had being diverted off Palmetto Park Road while crews worked to clear the area.

Roads finally cleared just after 11 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
