TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities arrested a woman accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 in Tampa early Thursday morning. The woman allegedly set her car on fire after she was pulled over.
The incident happened overnight on Interstate 75 near Fowler Avenue, and closed a portion of the road for a few hours Thursday.
A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said the woman was taken into custody and the fire was extinguished. She called the incident a mental health crisis.
