Scooter rider hospitalized after crash with SUV in downtown Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A person was hospitalized with injuries after the scooter they were riding was struck by an SUV in downtown Tampa early Friday morning.

The collision occurred at about 1 a.m. at the Kennedy Boulevard and Florida Avenue.

The person was rushed to an area hospital. There is no word on their condition.
