A 51-year-old Riverview woman is dead after losing control of her car on State Road 54 and crashing into a pond in Pasco County on Wednesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman was driving in the outside westbound lane of SR 54 when she lost control of the 2015 Honda sedan around 9:13 a.m., troopers said. She drove across the median, the eastbound lanes and the shoulder of the road before going into a pond located west of Henning Lane.
