Police: Alcohol May Be A Factor In Death Of Pedestrian Saturday
LARGO, FL. – On Saturday at approximately 10:51 pm, officers of the Largo Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of southbound Missouri Ave in regards to a vehicle and pedestrian traffic crash.
Investigators say that a southbound traveling pickup truck in the middle lane struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway eastbound.
Alcohol was not a factor with the driver of the pickup truck, but police say the pedestrian had just left the Sports Shack bar and alcohol appears to be a factor for him.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he died from injuries suffered in the crash.
