Driver extricated after accident on SW College Road in Ocala

A driver was extricated following a two-vehicle collision that occurred shortly after 12:05 p.m. at the 4900 block of SW College Road in Ocala on Tuesday.

Ocala Fire Rescue’s Engine 6 and Rescue 4 responded to the scene and observed a white passenger van with moderate front-end damage and a gold minivan with heavy damage on the driver’s side.

The minivan’s driver required extrication and OFR crews used specialized tools to unhinge the driver’s door. The driver was immediately removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.

Both occupants of the passenger van were also transported to a local hospital.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded to the scene of the accident.

The names of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.
