Tractor-Trailer Collision on I-95 Near Griffin Rd

Dania Beach, FL (January 20, 2022) – A tractor-trailer collision with injuries took place on a major highway in Dania Beach on Thursday morning, January 20. 

According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Griffin Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it forcefully collided with a passenger vehicle or two that were also traveling in the northbound lanes. The passenger vehicle involved in the accident was badly damaged as a result. 

Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. 

Four left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. 

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
