Police investigating crash outside Fletcher Middle School

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — An investigation is underway after a crash in the beaches area.

Authorities said the crash happened Wednesday on 3rd Street and Seagate Avenue near Fletcher Middle School.

The windshield of a van at the scene is visibly damaged.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said one person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
