Deadly crash shuts down traffic on I-295 South at Blanding Blvd.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — One person is dead following a crash involving a tractor trailer and a car on I-295 South at Blanding Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Crew with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the crash shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday.
Troopers have reopened one southbound lane on the interstate at Blanding Blvd., but two other southbound lanes remain closed.
Officials also closed all I-295 southbound lanes at Collins Road but those have since reopened.
