Port Charlotte man seriously injured after fiery crash
A Port Charlotte man was seriously injured after his van caught fire in a crash in Charlotte County Sunday night.
The 43-year-old man was driving his van west on Chancellor Boulevard around 11:15 p.m., approaching a home on Chancellor Boulevard where an unoccupied SUV was parked in the driveway. The van traveled off the road and collided with the SUV and some garbage cans.
The van then rotated, collided with a realty front yard sign, overturned and became engulfed in flames in the front yard of another home on Chancellor Boulevard. The driver is in serious condition.
