A Port Charlotte man died Tuesday morning when his pickup hit the back of a tractor-trailer rig turning around on Interstate 75.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the 36-year-old Port Charlotte man was driving east on I-75 shortly before 10 a.m.
Troopers said the 31-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer had been westbound but turned onto the paved median turnaround at Mile Marker 92 and entered the interstate’s eastbound left lane.
