One airlifted after Alva pickup crash
Florida Highway Patrol says one person was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Alva Thursday morning.
It happened at the intersection of North River Road and Parkinson Road around 4:15 a.m. The driver reportedly went off the grassy shoulder and hit a fence and a utility pole. The driver was transported to Gulf Coast Medical
Center in serious condition.
Crews from Florida Power and Light are working to repair the damage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
