Car flips onto roof in four-car crash in Fort Lauderdale
Three people were hospitalized Tuesday after four cars crashed on North Federal Highway shortly before 4 p.m., Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Stephen Gollan said.
The crash in the 1500 block of North Federal Highway caused one of the four cars to flip over onto its roof. Rescue crews took the driver to a local hospital in stable condition with serious injuries, Gollan said.
During the crash, a pedestrian standing along the side of the road was also injured and hospitalized with minor injuries. A second driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries, Gollan said.
Officials shut down the northbound lanes on North Federal Highway as they investigated and removed the cars. All lanes have reopened, Gollan said.
Fort Lauderdale Police are investigating the cause.
