Car Crash at US-441 & Riverland Rd Leads to Injuries

Fort Lauderdale, FL (January 11, 2022) – At 2:35 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 11, a car crash with injuries occurred in Fort Lauderdale. 

Broward County officials confirmed that the crash took place in the southbound lanes of US-441 around the area of Riverland Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, which caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result. 

Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time. 

Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
