DELTONA, Fla. — A Deltona man is facing charges after deputies said he smashed into a day care Thursday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. at La Petite Academy at 698 Deltona Blvd.
Witnesses told deputies they saw a Jeep swerve off the road, through trees and into the building, which was empty.
Deputies said the 48-year-old driver, Duane Doty, could not complete a sobriety test. His blood-alcohol level was recorded at 0.225.
In addition to DUI, Doty was also charged with indecent exposure after urinating on the floor of his holding cell.
He was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with a bond of $1,500.
