One dead, one injured in motorcycle crash
PALMETTO- A 52-year-old Parrish man was killed and a 48-year-old woman was injured in an early morning motorcycle crash Saturday.
The Motorcycle left a parking lot in the 4500 block of Old US Highway 41 in Palmetto turning Southbound onto US 41. Another Motorcycle left just ahead of them. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclists failed to yield to oncoming traffic and a car sideswiped one motorcycle and hit the back of another. The driver of one motorcycle died and his passenger was injured. The driver of the second motorcycle, and the driver or the car were uninjured. The crash remains under investigation.
